"Is intelligence the only measure of the good of a human being?" - Wally Siewert.

Well said, teacher. Well said.

Philosophy 4 - Introduction to Ethics has proven itself to be quite an interesting course. Perhaps interesting enough to push me towards a minor in Philosophy? Perhaps, we'll see.

So its been about two months of playing house with Bri now. These two months have taught me a lot. I've developed stronger study habits (who wouldda thunk it?), I've learned to manage a check book (haha), and I'm finally seeing that my parents have been right all along (as usual). Supporting a household is tough, reckless spending comes with its consequences, and managing your finances with little or no income isn't very fun, either. With that in mind, please please please keep your fingers crossed that I get this job at OSH...Lord knows I need it.

Regardless of all the mental strain that comes with finally being an adult and quite literally "doing in on your own", I can honestly say that I am EXTREMELY grateful to have been born without a silver spoon in my mouth--really, thank you, GOD. I've seen the sort of people that come from spoiled-rotten, "Daddy's little Princess"-type families and I can honestly say that I am eternally grateful to my parents for giving me the occasional slap on the ass and/or across the face along with a powerful bellow of "YOU'RE WRONG THIS TIME, BRANDI".

I've got a great family and I can't wait to see them this weekend!
